No, it's NOT all about you


There are those of you out there for whom wearing a mask in the midst of the worst pandemic America, and the world, has seen since 1918 is some sort of “inconvenience”. Y’all fall into two broad categories. There is a third…opportunistic politicians who cheerfully pander to the ascientific, booger-eating  ignorance, self-absorbed narcissism and nihilism of the other two categories of covidiots. But they a topic for another discussion entirely.
The first group of covidiots are the folks out there insisting that any requirement to wear masks is, somehow, a gross infringement of their rights. The only “rights” at issue here are your right to be feckless, reckless, ass-hats which…by the way…end where public health and safety begin. You see, it’s NOT about YOUR rights. Since you can be shedding COVID-19 virus, like a Malamute sheds fur in the summer, days before you are ever symptomatic, your refusal to wear a mask, especially in enclosed environments like stores, office spaces and other places of business constitutes a gross violation of the rights of EVERYONE AROUND YOU. But that simply doesn’t occur to you AT ALL does it? Because, in the end, it’s all about you, innit?
The second class of people who refuse to wear masks during a pandemic are those for whom, life is but a lark. “I’m young, I’m healthy and we’re all gonna die anyways, am I right?” This utterly self-absorbed, narcissistic, head-up-your-ass nonsense is nihilism, nothing more. Nothing less. After all, you think, “Why should I care? It’s not gonna affect me, even if I DO contract COVID 19? So why should I give a shit about anyone else?”, even as every breath your precious little COVID carrying ass takes exposes everyone around you to potentially grave illness or death. Because, in the end, it’s all about you, innit?

So, if you find wearing a mask in the midst of a pandemic too great a burden to bear…whether it’s because it’s SOMEHOW an infringement on your right to be a dangerously reckless ass-hat or, you simply can’t be troubled to give a shit about anyone else at all…STAY THE FUCK HOME.

The Democratic Party, the "opposition" party, needs to start doing some SERIOUS opposing

Of all the disturbing things done by the Trump administration since it took office, the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil is the most worrisome. He was taken into custody by ICE officers who failed to identify themselves and, essentially, “disappeared”.
